Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Krisflyer of Miles and More

Help! I need to decide to keep booking miles in my MM account or KF account. Currently I am PPS but no status in Krisflyer. In MM I am Senator and already re-qualified until '11.

1) If I'm not mistaken miles credited to MM yield more compared to KF? Even taking into consideration the 15% online discount for KF award bookings.
2) Maybe I will not be able to re-qualify for PSS, that would mean I fall back to normal KF status. Is it preferable to start saving KF to get higher status or will SQ recognize my MM Senator status with same benefits/service?
3) The main question; book to KF or MM?

Can you get points via any other local method - Credit Card or hotel stays? Any extra helps.

Extra 25% miles on UA, US, LH & Co useful.

Only get 25% extra on SQ flights.

Previously I sent all my miles to LH as redemption was good and it use to be most low fare Y tickets got some points - that is now no longer the case.

SPG use to have good transfer ratios - 20000 SPG points became 25,000 KF miles - but now only 12,500. Whereas M&M still 25,000.

Always kept KF balances low as points only last 3 years - but if you pay you can extend them another year.

I always had very low KF balances but now that my main credit card can earn KF points, I will put all my points into KF. Keep them on the credit card and then move them when I want to burn them to minimise chances of the 3 years causing problems.

Unless you can build up a balance you want and use them within 3 years - stick with M&M

Sorry didn't answer your question - KF Gold is no different than any other *G - if you are going to fall back then stick with M&M.

Also have KF status while PPS means nothing. It doesn't give you PPS+,

If you are looking for another *A to be a *G in, why not BMI with their miles + Cash options.

Then in a few years you will be able to merge your BMI and LH accounts.
