InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - IC newbie - question about status

I have been priority club platinum for several years & only once stayed at an IC. Now I have two reward reservations - one in Kansas City and one in San Juan. Both rooms are regular rooms. I don't think I am eligible for any sort of upgrade with my current status. My question is, what sort of upgrade could I expect if I upgraded my status? Is there something that I could trade for on cc that would be worth anything to me?

Only a RA certificate is worth to trade for the IC stays.
