Air New Zealand Air Points - Nz38 / 39

Hi

Does anyone have any idea why these flights have been so erratic in timing these past few days.

I have been monitoring a while now and they have seemed surprisingly good at time keeping.

On the same route, the other airlines do not appear to have had these problems

My parents were affected by these delays, they were on NZ38 ex AKL on Saturday, which was delayed by eight hours, and didn't depart until 0700 on the Sunday. The reason given for the delay was late inbound a/c NZ39 which was late departing HKG due to the typhoon that affected the Olympic equestrian events.
