Spent last weekend at the Crowne Plaza Manila for the first time with two teenage boys aged 14 & 16. Booked twin beds on the club floor, only found out after booking that children over 12 are considered adults, and should have paid a 3rd person charge rather than kids go free.
The hotel accepted that the age requirement was unclear on the priority club website and waived the 3rd adult room charge, however, imposed a charge for 3rd person club access which seemed reasonable.
After a long flight from the UK check in was very professional, immediately whisked away from the lobby check in to the club lounge for check in. (Only slight complaint was that my platinum status had not been rewarded with an upgrade)
Room was , for those of you who know Manila larger than a room at the IC but smaller than the rooms at the HI next door. Room was functional, nothing exceptional, furniture was an mfi job lot, beds were extremely hard and all three of us found them to be uncomfortable. Bathroom was ok Shower and Bath, all the usual amenities - (Only enough towels for 2, however, rectified upon request)
Club lounge was fairly small, staff very professional and polite. Food at cocktail session was above average ie: Oysters, King Prawns.....very nice selection of cakes, decent choice of wine, and free wifi internet access.
The one major let down at this hotel is that it shares its pool with the HI, the pool is small in need of renovation and not fit for purpose, if you like to have a decent pool the option in Manila has to be the IC.
