Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - Useful info? Have you used any of the online comparison sites listed in the article?

I know a few people had good one-way deals through vroomvroomvroom, so the links at the end of the article might help someone.

If anyone cares to mention their experience with any of these, this thread might be useful in keeping tabs on which (if any) are still worth a visit.

In the case of vroomvroom I used it but then found a much better direct deal with my preferred rental company.

98% of FTers will probably not need much help to find what they need but this might be good for that one time need. :)

vroomvroomvroom is like James May - sounds interesting, should be interesting, but at the end of the day is kind of slow, and outpaced by the competition (going direct to the renter would be Clarkson).

Never heard of vroom until now. Looks interesting, but would end up booking direct with the supplier. It is the same with webjet - I use it for comparison/planning purposes, but then book direct with the airline. As far as hotel sites go, I like wotif.com often because it is simple, clear and includes all taxes and surcharges in the price shown on the main screen.
