Budget Travel - Bangkok to Brazil - need urgetnt help

Hello All, I was wondering if you guys could help me to figure out a plan to get to Brazil from Bangkok at the end of September (22nd to 30th) on a budget.

My goal is to spend less than $1000 on the flight ticket. I am open to any routes, BUT would not like to stop in USA.

A quick search on kayak.com shows a one-stop itinerary via DXB for $1500. Perhaps a BKK bucket shop could do better.
