I just found this on another discussion board. It lowered my bottom line by $100.00.

I am renting a minivan 9/12 -9/21. I used the Walmart code:428448
The e-coupon from alamo's website: $25 off weekly rental
AND this Rate Code: BQ8A

It brought my reservation from $335.73 down to $234.34.
Has anyone heard of this Rate Code?

or is this another "too good to be true" kinda thing?

$45 more than what I just used ... Amex 15% and free upgrade worked great for me.

typically, those codes are just generated by Alamo after u select ur corporate id & appear automatically on ur ressie confirmation

have u tried pricing it out w/o it to see what the rate is?

main alamo codes that tend to produce a couple weeks before rental r:

IG
QVW
BY
ORLESS (as either corporate or code)

I just used contract ID 7014295 along with the $25 weekly e-coupon to get a rate of $98 with taxes for a week at SAT:) Can't beat it.

PumpkinQueen:

I entered the Walmart number in the Contract ID, then the Rate Code, then the E-Coupon code. This saved me $50 off the cheapest rate I could find so far for my Big Island weekly rental on a Jeep Wrangler -- $170 including all taxes, etc. Just want to sure I don't need to show something for the Walmart ID portion of the rental....Thanks!
