Air New Zealand Air Points - Alternative to NZ - upcoming SQ flights

So I am about to requalify for Gold Elite (good until jun2009), so was thinking about diversifying and crediting on another *A FFP.
I may have some upcoming trips to SIN with work from WLG. they will unfortunately be in discount economy or at best Y. As NZ airpoint earning for NZ-Asia is very poor on anything but their metal I am considering adding to a different account. The flights are probably going to be infrequent, say three returns to start with and maybe a further flight to AUH once maybe twice. Probably be on SQ.
I don't really want to orphan any miles but am hesitant to add to NZ due to poor earning.
To add to the equation or perhaps make the choice easier, I will try and get a status match with BMI (using my UK address and BA Gold for the match). This would be good in my eyes as I will be *G on further bookings if using my BMI FFP.
Prime reason (as with most ppl) is for premium reward tickets including cash+miles etc
So open to the floor, what is your recommendation, SQ / UA / BMI / A.N.Other or stick with trusty NZ?

Discount economy fares VQGNT (thanks to Kiwi Flyer for that info) on SQ are not eligible to credit to other *A FFP programs. So maybe Kris Flyer is your best bet and you could credit further flights on NZ to Kris Flyer if you have already qualified for GE and don't need the NZ AP$ for any re-quals.

They do 100% on NZ, and 100% on most SQ... http://www.flybmi.com/bmi/src/html/diamondclubhowtoearnmiles.html

They do 100% on NZ

But not on NZ's lowest fares (L,G,S,K)

Right. The cheapest fares on both NZ* and SQ are non-earning.

(* all NZ longhaul fares earn airbucks but cheapest fares do not credit to any other FFP)
