Gleaned info of the redemption release habits of many airlines now, but dont know much about LX. Been looking at ZRH-DXB next spring but cant find anything in premium classes.
Do they only release premium seats nearer the date, as opposed to a set amount at 365days? Is that a bad route for availability?
I'm asking here, as opposed to the M&M forum, as I thought availability via BD call centre might be different.

From hazy memory I think business awards get released about 300 days out and first awards another month later or so.

LX award avail is quite flux - I see it come and go a lot on my favorite routes.
In general, if ExpertFlyer.com is showing seats, there is a high chance these will be available to BD. Like maybe 80% of the time. BTW, if EF is saying an LX flight is availble, don't take the first no you get from BD. I am not sure exactly what the issue is, but very frequently I get a yes from the second or third BD agent I speak with after initially being told it is not availalbe.
An Expertflyer.com subscription would allow you to set a flight alert and receive an email when your desired flight(s) open up award space.

Having seen the OP's post I had a look on EF for March/April and he's right, not a seat to be had in C/F, not last night anyway.

Yup, thought I might have been doing it wrong as I only just joined EF. But might just wait it out. Loads of space on BA mind, but I always go BA and wanted to try something else.

Right. My main point is that the hastle free way of doing this is to use a premium EF subscription to be alerted when availaibility does open up. I was explaining the correlation (or lack thereof) between what EF shows (availability for MM members) and what BD can book.
