Budget Travel - Hotel In Port of Spain Trinidad?

My wife and I will be traveling through POS and will have to over night in POS. Can anyone recommend a hotel close to the Airport? We're not real picky, just clean, safe and reasonably priced. Any insight would be appreciated.

Its been a couple of years since I've been to POS, but I used to go once a month. Do not stay at the hotel next to the airport. Sorry I can't remember the name, but it's a dump. Take a taxi to the Hilton (about a 25 minute drive) . The only upside down pyramid hotel in the Hilton chain. There really a lack of chain hotel presence in Trinidad.
