Just ran across this place on the web, about time. Seems from an email I received they will be open for Shabbos meals starting this Shabbos 8/22-23 at least thru Rosh haShanah. Their website says Closed on Shabbos but I got an email answer from them today and that they will be changing the site once they get the hrs for Shabbos meals set

reg hrs 11:30am-10:30pm Sun-Thurs , Fri 11:30am-6:30pm (summer)

www.dinitz.cz under Chief Rabbinate of CZ

Map to restaurant is on their site

I havent been there so I cant comment on the quality or quanity of the food, but from what Ive been told anything and everything has to be better then what is in Prague now.

The restaurant is OPEN already, just not as yet for Shabbos meals.

Thank's craz.
Being open on Shabbat is very useful.
Anywhere we can actually get a decent meal on Shabbat instead of eating Tuna or cold cuts in the hotel room is welcome news.

Plan a trip to Prague sometime in the not too distant future so will come in handy if we are there over a weekend.

I got a steak sandwich (dont think steak is the correct word as meat is better) to go. It was tasty , home made bread. Along with a side of steak fries. It was 346czk or $21. Alot for so little meat that is a ton of bread.

The place is nice, seems there is a Shabbos menu and you can opt to sit in the area where they have someone leading everything or in the area w/o that. Think Chabad Shabbos for the area with. Didnt get prices.

The place is under The Rabbinate of Prague and is owned by a non-religious Israeli (very nice guy, Gabi). Its been his place for yrs but 1st time as a kosher place. He has a number of other restaurants in town (not-kosher).

Stopped by Shelanu, not my type of place, walked into iKing Solomon looked nice, didnt eat there based on what others posted on Shamash.

I would go back to Dinitz even thou its expensive, but wished there was a more moderate place taht was also a value place too boot

Dinitz is located a couple of blocks away from the Intercontinental. If youre facing the main door and the Hotel from the outside continue walking to the right and its across 2 small intersections (in other words youre walking away from the direction of the Shuls. Or from Shelanu go out of Shelanu head left, at the end of the block left again the Intercontinnental should be across the street on your left, just cross that main street (which if you turn left takes you to the Main Sq and astromical clock) Boss is on the corner just afew blocks straight and youre there

the longe is closing got to go
