Air New Zealand Air Points - LAX - AKL ... Mar 29 onward, departure times normal ?

Noticed that starting 03/29,

LAX-AKL daily flights depart 2100 and 2130 ... only 30 minutes apart
(There is a Sun flight that departs at 2315)

I'm trying to plan out some travel for that time period. Is it normal to have both LAX-AKL flights departing 30 minutes apart at that time of the year, or will this probably change ?

The exact timings do vary by time of year (daylight savings, changes to operating a/c, etc) but generally are around the same time of day. Due to timezones this is the scheduling that makes the most sense.

Don't forget NZ1 will have a large contingent of through passengers from London and so not really picking up many in Los Angeles.
