The schedule seems very focused on a SFO-based person being able to do a day's work in LGB and not the other way around.

Also, according to the release, "San Francisco customers traveling beyond Long Beach may take advantage of easy connecting service to six additional cities including Boston; Chicago (O'Hare); Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Las Vegas; Salt Lake City; and Washington (Dulles)." Those routing seem pretty bad for ORD, LAS and SLC.

This route should perform very well. I agree that it seems to be focused towards the SFO business person. However, don't forget that OAK-LGB still has service as well.

I think this is the route that replaces the defunct ExpressJet slots after ExpressJet's contract with Delta expires at the end of September at LGB.

I'm guessing they will use the E190 jets for the new routes. They are using the E190 jets on the LGB-SJC flights. I would expect they would do the same.

Yes, they will, and stated as much in the release.

Will try it out in November--got my ticket today even though I am connecting to Emirates at LAX:rolleyes:

The 190 doesn't fall into the commuter slot for LGB so the XJ slots are still up for grabs. I believe LGB-OAK is losing 2 daily's and LGB-BOS is losing a trip as well.

Do you know how many frequencies coming from LGB? I think some of those routes is: FLL, AUS, ORD, BOS, JFK, IAD, SMF, PDX, SEA, SLC, LAS, OAK, SJC and now SFO. Is that correctly which specific routes coming from LGB? How did B6 is getting more slots controlled coming from?
