Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns (Pre-Alignment) - Frontier miles for award ticket on AirTran?
Anyone tried to use their Frontier EarlyReturns miles for a ticket on AirTran?
I know the award level rises to 20,000 on AirTran, but I called AirTran and they told me round-trip for PVD-ATL-STL-ATL-PVD would require 40,000 miles. Is that correct?

I just used 40k miles from Frontier for a Business Class roundtrip MCO-SEA. Piece of cake. Called AirTran, gave them my EarlyReturns # and that was it!
Sounds like they're quoting you a Business Class ticket. I found availability on AirTran in standard coach as stingy, if not worse, than every other airline. Business Class, on the other hand, is almost always available.

Great ideas. I will try booking an AirTran seat through Frontier reservations. If that doesn't work I'll bite the bullet and use 40,000 as long as it's business class.
If anyone else has other ideas, or experiences, please post.
