Texas - Taxi From DFW To Dallas (Westin Galleria)

Next Tuesday I need to go from DFW to the Westin Galleria in Dallas. (We'll be returning on Thursday).

I would very much appreciate someone letting me know:

1. Approximately how much would a taxi cost each way?

2. What is the usual amount to tip drivers?

I'm trying to figure out if it wouldn't be better to just rent a car.

About $40 before tip. Tip the driver from DFW the same as you would back home in NYC.

After I posted my message, I found that Hertz and Avis want around $77 a day plus collision, tax, etc. making it $100 a day or more (+GPS).

So you're right, it's a New York price. :)

SuperShuttle shared ride is $18 to the Westin Galleria from DFW. Add about $3 for the tip.:)
