Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - Dining recommendations for Palm Cove/Cairns/Daintree

Will be in Oz next month. Plan to travel around Cairns region for 2 weeks with car but will base myself in Palm Cove and Daintree area. Would love dining recommendations from others. Traveling with 4 year old son so anything child friendly (he is generally well-behaved) :)

Dining in the Palm Cove/Cairns will be a real treat. One of our favorite places in Cairns is The Raw Prawn at 101 The Esplanade. It is known as Cairns #1 Seafood restaurant. Be sure and try the barramundi . . it is served many different ways. They also offer an early bird dinner but I don't remember the time.

If you make it to Cape Tribulation, there's a great place called Dragonfly. Al fresco dining in the middle of the rainforest, what's not to love?

The owner, Martin, is fantastic. I was there for dinner but I think they're also open for breakfast and lunch as well.

If in Port Douglas at all try RE:HAB coffee bar. Best coffee ever and a good internet connection if needed.
