Flying Blue (Air France & KLM) - Earning "Level" miles

Hiya,
If I understand correctly, I won't earn "Level" miles when travelling on a partner (eg: DL).
I'm flying JFK/CDG. The metal is AF, but the ticket is DL.
Will I earn "Level" miles?
Also, the "Miles Finder" calculates distance based on origin and destination (regardless of any connections). Does FlyingBlue aware miles this way, or does it sum the distance of each flight segment?

Can I earn "Level" miles on any SkyTeam flight?
Who said you won't earn level miles when travelling on a partner? Of course you will. As long as you are flying on a Skyteam airline or FB partner in a qualifying class of service, you will earn level miles.

Hi Dodgy,
Yes, you can earn level miles on all SkyTeam flights, although some fare classes only earn you 25% of the actual mileage.
The mileage is calculated for each segment, with a minimum of 750 miles for European flights, and 500 miles for domestic flights in the US (With a 25% fare class, 189 and 125 respectively).
For more information, visit the Flying Blue pages and check the Partners section. This has all the nitty-gritty detail.
Cheers,

One thing to keep in mind: no miles (level or not) if you fly on a Skyteam codeshare from a non FB airline and not operated by a Skyteam member, or if you fly on a Skyteam aircraft but not with a Skyteam ticket. Examples:
- you won't get FB miles if you fly with a CO ticket on an Eva Air aircraft (because although CO is part of Skyteam, Eva is not). Same if you fly with a Eva ticket on a CO aircraft: no miles.
- you will get FB miles if you fly with a DL ticket on an AF aircraft (all Skyteam).
- you will get FB miles if you fly with an AF ticket on a Qantas aircraft (because although Qantas does not belong to Skyteam, FB is AF's program).
- you won't get FB miles if you fly with a Qantas ticket on an AF aircraft (because Qantas is not part of Skyteam).
I'm curious then what happens when I fly a Delta flight "operated by Comair"? In my experience if I input my FB number I do get credited with miles for that flight as if it was a Delta flight. Is that because of the Delta flight number or some other reason, since Comair isn't part of Skyteam as far as I know?

Should be o.k. as Comair is one of the franchise carriers that fly exclusively for DL. For all FFP purposes, same as a DL-metal & -coded flight.

Absolutely, franchises are a different case, so flying eg Comair with DL or Expressjet with CO will bring miles and level miles.
