US Airways Dividend Miles - Selling US Air Miles on Ebay...Help, Safe?

Hi, I have just under 34k miles with usair. I can't use them for anything ATM and need some cash instead. I saw that 25k or so sell for about $325. Basically, the listings state: you have thirty days to use the account (you give the winning bidder your login info) and they can transfer the miles/buy ticket/whatever. Is this safe? It seems like a good deal b/c I could get the money I need, but I just wondered if anyone had any experience with this.
If there's any past threads on this, please let me know, and I apologize in advance.

Bad idea... "give" them to someone you know since the person can show up at the airport and find his ticket invalid after it turns out the tickets were bought on ebay/craigslist.

I'm not advocating anything.. YMMV on this but selling them to a random person is a universally bad idea.

Yeah I adree with civicmon. In fact I dont think that selling miles is even legal.

I will try to think of another way to sell them. The ebay auctions are so appealing b/c I could get $400+ for them, it seems.

Not worth the risk of losing the miles and my money!
