Budget Travel - Cheaper hotels in NYC

I'm going to NYC and staying there for 4 days
I found a bed and breakfast hotel $725 plus tax for 2 people to stay for 3 days
I was wondering if anyone could help me find something cheaper than this... i mean if there's anything cheaper, that would be great.
Anywhere in NYC would be ok
I'm going to get there on August 11 and leave on the 14 at night

You might look at www.ratestogo.com for a cheaper last minute deal. Or try using Priceline to bid on something less expensive. Hotwire can also have prices similar to Priceline. (Did not look at any of these sites myself before posting this though)
