Going to have a 10days business trip in Chicago from Nov. 7 to Nov. 17. Now are searching some low cost but clean and safe hotels near to McCormick Place or a little bit far away but easy access to McCormick Place. Hope someone can give me some good suggestion. Thanks in advance!

BRG's are a good way to save money, if you're willing to try them!

Here is the link, in case you don't have it:

McCormick Place is kind of isolated, so the only hotel really convenient to it is the Hyatt Regency attached to it. For all others, you'd have to decide what kind of compromise you prefer for your circumstances.

For example, if you need frequent back-and-forth trips between your hotel and MP, then the above mentioned Hyatt is the only choice I can think of. OTOH, if you need just one round trip per day, then some place a short cab ride away would be ok. If so, consider staying just north of the loop, near Magnificent Mile area, where you'd have some evening and night life.

There is no law requiring you to stay in the same hotel all the time, so you could be at Hyatt on those days when it is necessary, and sample different nearby Chicago neighborhoods for short durations. Chinatown, Greektown, etc should be good for 1-2 days each. Near North, Lincoln park etc for longer.
