I had thought Frontier has availability up to 331 days in advance, as currently on the booking calendar goes up to 7/1/09. However, when running a search for flights on various city pairs, it seems nothing comes up past 4/22/09. What's up?

Theortetical availability and set schedule are two different things.

In case you haven't heard, Frontier has been on a financial rollercoaster lately, and are likely not yet sure exactly what routes they'll cut or adjust (or change planes on) that far out. It seems prudent to me to not set a schedule out beyond a point where you have little clue what you'll be flying where and when. They don't want to book a lot of stuff (on which they won't get paid in advance anyway) that they'll have to spend money changing later.

I think I remember a press release or news article a few months ago that Frontier was changing from the 331 day to a shorter window to help their bottom line. Apparently it made sense at the time and was probably due to the increasing fuel prices. It's hard to price a ticket almost a year in advance when you don't know how much fuel prices will increase.
