Flying into LIS (PT) this summer, and will be renting a class D station wagon from Hertz. I'm told by the travel agency it's a slightly larger SW than a compact SW, is it true?

Well the car was a OPEL (GM) ASTRA SW. Nice and roomy. However, I was somewhat dissapointed with the Hertz, since the car was in somewhat bad shape for the km it had (~40K). I have always got low km cars (<5000 Kms) with other agencies.
1. front tires bauld
2. "Fault" warning light on the onboard computer
3. Waited 45 mins for the car to be delivered to me at the airport (yes, I had a reservation)
What were my options? Return the car, and get another one?
