I have a six-day Enterprise reservation coming up in a few weeks (one that I booked three months ago). While tracking rates, I discovered that they raised the underage driving fee. When I pulled up my reservation, the new fee was reflected. Yet, I never got a phone call or e-mail notifying me of the increase. It's a significant one; the total cost is now 20 percent higher than when I booked. I would have never known had I not looked up my reservation online.
Will I be able to convince the office to honor the the original rate reflected on my printout? I checked the web site and couldn't find anything about whether or not rate estimates are binding. I hope that, as a courtesy, they'll discount the actual rental rate to offset the fee increase. FWIW, this is for a location in Maine.
