A caveat. I took this flight a few months back but have got around to just writing the report.

Departure from Mumbai was from terminal 2B. Chaos was a mild statement. The signs were very poor to the Bangkok flight check in. In their defense the airport was being renovated. Luckily I have a Jet Platinum FF card and so could check in the business class area. Post check in went to the lounge with the family.

Lounge in Bombay is bad. I have heard Jet has just got a new biz class lounge. Aircraft was a 737. Yes a 737. Its almost a 5 hour flight how can Jet operate an aircraft that is suited for domestic travel? I am 5'6" and I found the seats very uncomfortable. Good luck if you are taller. As it was a night flight tried to watch a movie before getting shut eye. Their inflight system, while VOD has a very poor choice. I have written to Jet quite a few times to improve in this area. Maybe they are not able to. The selection of English movies is very small and poor. They need to take a leaf out of Emirates. 500 channels VOD. Arrival was on time.

Return was similar experience. It was a day flight so lack of a high end VOD was more felt. Food was decent. Service as usual at Jet is exceptional. I hope they upgrade soon to their A340s or 777s on this sector.

I will be in SIN soon and was thinking about flying to BKK for an overnight stay and then fly Jet to BOM as the J fares BKK-BOM-BKK and SIGNIFICANTLY lower than SIN-BOM-SIN.......1/2 the price on Jet in J class.

However your feedback could explain why this would be the case, SIN-BOM-SIN is on a A330-200 which is better product then the 737 on BKK-BOM-BKK.

Cheers.
