I received an offer for a "free" $500 Jet Blue gift card. When you click on the link, you have to give your email address and then commit to a whole bunch of stuff that costs more than the $500.

When you click on the link, you have to give your email address and then commit to a whole bunch of stuff that costs more than the $500. These kinds of scams are a dime a dozen, and often give purport to give away the 'hot' item of the moment (which, these days, is usually a gas card). One red flag: When they misspell the name of the company. It's JetBlue (one word), not Jet Blue (two words). JerseyVics Aug 2, 08, 5:14 pm I was always tempted to buy a gift card / credit for a future JetBlue flight on e-bay to save a buck... after after reading that someone had used one and then was denied the amount by JetBlue I have never done it. Does anyone else have experience buying people's unused credit or gift cards from eBay? --Russ |
