I posted this as a response to another post but I thought I would post in it's own thread. Basically, I found a pretty sweet deal that gives you 20% off your Hertz rental + Free Hertz Gold Club + Free day rental car voucher (if you rent a car for more than 2 days)

Anywho, Here it is. If anyone has better CDP or PC codes please email me and I'll update the post.

Step 1:

Sign up free a free Hertz Gold Club membership - Normally it's $60 to sign up and you don't get any signing bonus. However if you click the link below you will get the $60 waived and get 12 free bonus points - 15 gets you a free rental voucher (so if you rent for 2 or more days you get a free day voucher)

Edit: I also noticed you get double points the first 90 days - could be cool if you travel alot.

Step 2:

Now that you have a free hertz gold club membership you can start accumulating some very discounted car rentals. Start by using the below CDP number for 20% off your total invoice.

CDP code 1261109

Step 3:

Now here is the best part. You can stack PC codes ontop of CDP codes which means you can get some killer combos. Here is a list of PC numbers I use but remember PC numbers expire much more quickly then CDP codes.

One car class upgrade PC# 962146
$10 off a weekly rental PC# 962194
Up to $15 off a weekend rental PC# 962183
Free child seat on a weekly rental PC# 978784

If you follow these three steps you can start seeing some killer combo discounts - Almost every time I pick up a car the person at the desk comments on the deal. The only suggestion I would make is search the forum for the newest PC codes since they are coming out weekly and they always vary (sometimes they have free tank of gas codes!). It seems like half of them expire in the first month and there are 1,000 that are posted everywhere that don't work.

CDP codes vary in the percentage they discount. For example, the one you listed only gave a 10% discount at EWR for the dates I checked. Much less discount than other corporate rates I've found. I've seen the basic AAA discounts go as high as 58%, so I would check multiple CDPs.

Yea I use the AAA CDP sometimes too but it really depends on when and where you are using it. I use this one because it tends to give me the best discounts in cities I frequent most (Orlando, Las Vegas, Miami, Chicago).

Good tip though

Do I have to sign up for a new membership from this link? I had a unused Gold membership and was checking on that while bumping into your thread. After I register for the business account, I noticed that my business address had been filled in my old membership profile and the preferred address had changed to "business" as well. When I enrolled the biz account, I did use a different email address and use my biz address, but so far haven't got any email in that email address.

And btw, how long did you wait until the bonus credits showed up in your account?

Is the PC# from an actual coupon?

Bah, travel dealer, I checked that other free gold membership and you don't get nearly as many perks i.e. double points, bonus credits, etc...

Thanks for the tip but I'm all about the perks!:)
