MilesBuzz! - How many non-flight miles have you gotten in a year?

Thanks to Flyer Talk and all the airline promotions and partners, I've earned 142,00 Delta miles in the last twelve months,(not including the most recent 2x which won't post for several months) and about 35,000 on AA. There would have been a whole lot more on AA had Kellogg's not scaled back on the 500 mile Eggo certs. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif Other than Pudding Guy, whose record will probably never be exceeded, what's your grand total for a year?

About 150,000 AA miles for me. Using my Citibank American Airlines MasterCard for buying U.S. Savings Bonds, and the C2IT loophole (which was plugged) is the plurality of this. Other much smaller stuff includes iDine, OpinionPlace, one-time bonus offers, opening and closing a TD Waterhouse account, using AAvacations.com to book hotel reservations, normal credit card charges, etc., helped with the rest of the non airline earned miles. I don't buy much of the Kellogg's cereal with the certificates, so I've only earned 500 miles that way in the past year.

i picked up about 250,000 during the valumags/goldpoints christmas frenzy almost two years ago. i know that a lot of members went "all in" on that deal and locked up lifetime gold or better all at once.

Ayh, the one that got away. Every fisherman has a story of the big one that got away. This was mine. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Does the KLM status match promotion that included matching of accrued miles in a competitor account count as non-flight miles?

If so, there are several Flyertalkers who earned several million miles that way.

You could argue that those were bonuses for flying...

Personally, I accumulate about half a million miles a year just on credit cards. Lucky, I guess! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

The Goldpoints/Valumags, Goldpoints/Hallmark, InsideFlyer/Starwood promos all come to mind. (I didn't take advantage of the last one.. but many folks have Randy to thank for their cheap Concorde award flights!)

What was that?

Anyway, I get about 200K OP miles/year on my Chase biz debit card, and more on my personal one. Not much from Idine, and a few phone/internet/etc. affinity deals, here and there.
