MilesBuzz! - What is the Largest Airline from NYCView Full Version : What is the Largest Airline from NYC Howardform Aug 11, 03, 3:06 pm Just sick and tired of no direct flights What airline has most destinations from LGA or JFK kdinino Aug 11, 03, 3:18 pm I guess it depends. If you want direct JFK- West Coast flights, you can choose between American, United, Continental and Jetblue all of which i know have non-stops. It also depends if you want to fly based on price or based on perks. If its price, then Jetblue may ne the best call. If its perks or elite status, etc, then American or United is good. US Air and Delta are good if you are flying non-stop to the east coast and south. Eugene Aug 11, 03, 3:26 pm Perhaps this data might be of interest: 2003 monthly summary of NYC area airport activities (http://www.panynj.gov/aviation/traffic/monthlysummary2003.html) steve100 Aug 11, 03, 5:26 pm If you are coming from Manhattan, then EWR is just about the same distance (it is considered a NYC airport and it is run by the Port Authority). You can catch buses or even the train to get there. From EWR, the Continental has a very large base and offers many non-stops. So, if you join Continental's OnePass, you can then have not only choices from EWR, but you can also fly Delta & NorthWest from the other NYC hubs and earn elite miles from them too on OnePass. cordelli Aug 11, 03, 6:25 pm That would totally depend on where you are going as to which airline has the most flights. There isn't a lot of overlap in destinations. Remember, every flight leaving any of the three New York airports is a direct flight, maybe not to someplace you want to go, but it's a direct flight. fholt Aug 11, 03, 6:46 pm Originally posted by cordelli: Remember, every flight leaving any of the three New York airports is a direct flight, maybe not to someplace you want to go, but it's a direct flight. .. and wherever in this great big world you go, well, there you are... arnitaruiz Aug 11, 03, 9:06 pm Try EWR and Continental. Your best bet. kappa Aug 11, 03, 9:16 pm Why is this thread still on this board? flipside Aug 11, 03, 11:12 pm Howardform, You didn't really make this clear that this is miles or points related, so I'm going to move it over to Travel Buzz.
