Hertz - Question regarding PC guaranteed upgrade?

I'm a PC & I picked up a car around 10:30 last night in MEM. My name wasn't on the board & although my flight number was correct in the rental record & my flight was ontime, they listed me as a no-show & put my car back into general inventory.

I was very laid back about the whole thing & didn't really mind too much and didn't want to or need to create a scene about it. I reserved a full-size with NL and the only thing that in stock with NL was a Mazda 3 or a Mazda 6. I chose the 6. It was late & I had been traveling for a while, so I took it, glad that it had NL, and left.

I checked my rental record today & it says that I'm paying for F (full size) and booked a C (midsize).

So, not only did I not get my guaranteed upgrade, I got a downgrade.

At the counter, when they told me the car, I said I didn't really care as long as it has Neverlost (which is true), but I think (now - didn't realize it then) that they should have at least given me a discount on the rate rather than charge me the original rate.

Also, with the downgrade, IIRC, I should get some bonus points.

How does that all work?

If you write to customer service, they should adjust your bill accordingly.
