Southwest Rapid Rewards - WN in MSN?
I was flying out of MSN on 29DEC and saw a WN 737 at the terminal. I fly up to MSN quite a bit from ATL and never noticed them before. I checked their site and they don't mention flying into MSN. Any idea why their plane was there last week?
Now that I think about it for about 3 seconds, it may have been a charter flight for a team visiting University of Wisconsin....hmmm....

Charter is probably the right answer.
I remember seeing WN regularly in BUF well before they started scheduled service. They were doing charters to LAS. (Ironic: this was circa '95, just after UA started Shuttle by United to compete with WN in California. Who handled ground and gates for WN at BUF at that time: none other than UA.)
I saw a WN plane land this evening at EWR. Would charter service explain this as well?
I looked longingly, wishing that it, and not CO, could bring me back to MHT. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Naturally you can charter a plane anywhere, but you may also see planes in the "wrong" airport for a weather diversion.
Several years ago I saw an AA DC-10 at LBB due to severe T-storms at DFW.
