Delta is only the first (if you don't count Hawai'ian's three tiers). Probably the only difference among programs will be the timing of the announcements. The recent AAdvantage emailer re purchasing miles said that their award structure will change in October...

AA's changes have been known/discussed since the end of May, and they have nothing to do with a 3-tier approach that I'm aware of.

DL and US seem to be the two airlines with an anti-customer culture in their ff programs. Others may follow, or they may not, but these two are the instigators. A few years ago, it was the same pair. The Cockroaches quickly swatted down US' changes then and SaveSkyMiles did so it a more protracted two year battle. Now the same pair is at it again, and like before taking different but equally bad approaches.

When will ff'ers learn. If you want an airline that might reciprocate your loyalty or at least will not take the lead in stabbing you in the back for it, then you want to avoid this pair, DL and US, like the plague.
