I have been trying to find a hotel deal in Oslo. I googled UK newspapers to find a travel deal and found a travel agency that gave me exactly what I needed - the 5th night free. The only difference is that the booking is paid in English pounds rather than US$$$. I had not found anything like this elsewhere, after 3 solid weeks of looking!

Looking at agencies (or going direct to the vendor) in other countries can often yield great prices - but be sure you understand how your credit card deals with foreign transactions. Unfavorable exchange rates and foreign transaction fees can easily minimize the savings!
Just check out www.hrs.de and change language to "English" or "English US" and you have a great source.
It´s the biggest reservation service in Germany offering worldwide hotel reservations. Even if you call them at their call center (number shown on the website) they can book for you because their staff is English speaking !
