Hertz - When did they stop handing out P.C. coupons...

...and start to give us just 600 Hertz #1 points per 7 rentals!?:mad:

I just got my PC membership renewed and noticed this. If so, it is quite the downgrade in my opinion.

I got the same e-mail. I noticed my #1 balance had been going up, but didn't realize it was at the expense of the coupons.

Kind of a mixed blessing for me - on the one hand there are no certs for me to lose; on the other hand there are no certs for Hertz to forget to ask for.

I admit I have never redeemed a #1 award... since I will now be racking them up I will see if there is anything interesting.

Yea, I noticed it as well. The big loss is that 600 ZE1 points gives you a non-peak day rental up to a full size car. The coupons gave you up to premium, and were usable (in a fashion) any time.

According to the #1 Awards website, you can redeem the points for paper certs, too... that's good to know.
