My wife has hinted that South America is somewhere neither of us have been :o and it is time we went rather soon!

Thank you Thank you for posting wonderful descriptions of activities and restaurants!!!! I find this type of info lacking in many trip reports.
We are heading to Rio in 6 weeks and am really looking forward to it.

Thanks for the report. We will be there for a few days after our cruise. Also staying at the Inter Continental.
Still working on our touring in Rio. We will be including the zoo, botanic gardens, Cristo and Sugar loaf. Not likely we will have much more time than that. Not much of a beach person, even with 30 protection. May be a bit of a walk at the local sand though.
