I was checking fares from AUS-MAF and this is what I saw on Southwest's website:
Austin to Midland/Odessa
Fare Type Price RoundTrip
Refundable Fare 105.00.
Child Fare 89.00.
Youth Fare 89.00.
Infant Fare 60.00.
Roundtrip 202.00 X
Advance Purchase Fare 150.00 X
Senior Citizen Fare 60.00
Discount Fare 128.00 X
Promotional Tue/Wed/Sat 124.00 X
Promotional Mon/Thu/Fri/Sun 124.00 X
Internet Special 110.00.
Internet Special 100.00.
Internet Special 120.00
OK, keeping in mind that if the fare has an "X" out to the side, that indicates the price is for roundtrip, why would Southwest offer an internet "special" of $110.00.each way and $120.00 each way when the regular fully refundable fare is only $105.00 each way?
Makes no sense to me.
