WN LUVS U Oct 31, 02, 11:27 am We are retiring our 737-200 series aircraft. The 737-700 (73G) seems to be a big hit with the leather interior! DataPlumber Oct 31, 02, 12:34 pm I was on a 733 with the new interior last week, very nice!! Glad to see the backwards seats going! Rigmutt Oct 31, 02, 12:41 pm Anyone know what "R/H" and "Cycles" mean? Is it possible cycles = segments? Doesn't seem likely, but I am at a loss for ideas. Thanks SonOfACockroach Oct 31, 02, 12:48 pm Originally posted by Rigmutt: Anyone know what "R/H" and "Cycles" mean? Thanks Cycles are indeed segments. 1 cycle= 1 takeoff and 1 landing (And they better add up. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif ) Rigmutt Oct 31, 02, 1:26 pm Wow. So according to my rough calculations, some of these planes averaged between 6 and 7 segments PER DAY, even assuming they never took time off for maintenance. Wow. I know planes are durable, but seeing the total segments still kind of freaks me out. Beckles Nov 3, 02, 7:16 am F/H = flight hours Note that all of the planes except one averaged less than 1 flight hour per cycle (and the one that's over isn't over by much), so they were flying pretty short hops, probably intra-Greece mostly I'd imagine. All and all, these planes are pretty much worthless given their age and number of cycles and the number of planes parked all over the world. |
