AA Announces More Flexibility and Simplicity in Its Award Structure for AAdvantage Members

AAdvantage Members May Now Mix and Match Airlines

This has been discussed for weeks in the AA forum, along with the fact that the increased flexibility often goes along with increased mileage requirements for the same trip - even when the previous flexibility was sufficient. The moderators may want to close this thread in favor of the ongoing discussion there. In the meantime, I'd urge interested people to follow this topic and post on it in that forum so as not to fragment the discussion.

Thanks.

Yeah, both "flexibility" and "simplicity" should set off alarms these days, as it's often spin for "higher mileage cost."
