Travel Technology - To what extent can RSS be customised? How do I do it?

I'd like to have a little ticker that combines things that interest me like:
1) FT threads from the fora that I am interested in.
2) News headlines from various sources (e.g. BBC, Russia Today, ABC.es)
3) Share prices for the 6-7 shares that I follow (not all on the same exchange)
4) Latest article headlines from the 5-6 blogs I am most interested in.

Is there any way I can regulate the feed to have a single ticker that can combine all of the above or am I living in cloud-cuckoo land?

I don't seem able to combine feed from many souces into a single pipe. I can filter or translate it, but cannot add more than one source (e.g. I was trying to put Reuters business news, Russia Today headlines and the Greek sport-site Sport24). It lets me put all sources on the same canvas, but I can't connect them!
Am I doing anything wrong? :confused:

You can do this sort of thing with most RSS readers. I use Google Reader and the way it works is that I subscribe to my individual feeds, but at the top of the page is an "All Items" link which will just list my latest headlines in the order they were received regardless of the source.

If you used it, you'd have your individual RSS feeds in the lower part of the left-hand column and the "single ticker" with all your items would be the "All Items" link at the top of the left-hand column.

Connect them using the "Union" function under "Operators." Nest multiple unions if necessary :)
