Hertz - Why's a Passat 2.0 so cheap at LHR?

I just booked a car at LHR for a 2 week reservation in September. With my corporate leisure CDP, a Ford Mondeo 1.8 is more expensive than a VW Passat 2.0. Bizzarely, a Passat Bluemotion (listed as one of the Green collection) is more expensive than the Mondeo.

Anyone got any idea why this is? I generally get a Mondeo 1.8 but in recent years the gap between that and a Mondeo 2.0 is sometimes very small so I get the larger engine. I noticed now that the Mondeo 2.0 is no longer listed and the Passat seems to have taken its place. I'm not complaining that I managed to book a larger engined car for a 20% cheaper price but I'm just wondering if there is any catch :D

I booked a Passat 2.0 (manual) for UKL18.98 per day (using UA CDP). When I got to my space at LHR last night, I found a Passat "Bluemotion" estate waiting for me ... it's a diesel. I took the larger engine too ... the last couple of times I've booked this 2.0 category (W), I've been upgraded to something nicer: last year I got a Merc C180. Hertz doesn't seem to have too many of these Passat 2.0's (at least that's what I could divine from the guy in the Gold Booth) so I was hoping my luck would hold and another nice upgrade would come my way. I'll let you know how the estate version goes!
