Hertz - Booking car for my spouse using my #1 Club Gold

My wife needs to book a one-day rental for next week at SNA - rates are typically $90-100. Using my discount in my #1 Gold account, I can get a car for $62. Is it possible for me to make the reservation and for her to pick up the car? She has a different last name, but the same address and will be using the same credit card number that's in my profile.

Thanks for any help you can provide. I'm pretty handy when it comes to air travel, but car rentals are not my strong suit ;)

No. They match the DL # from your Gold profile to the license presented at rental.

I had the same issue with my wife years ago and solved it by getting her her own #1 Gold account for when she travels solo. Our Costco travel discount code routinely beat my corporate rate, so I now use the Costco discount.

She'll also thank you for not making her stand in line with the casual RAC lice. ;)

Just make her a reservation using the CDP that is stored in your Gold Account. There shouldn't be any issues with that!

Well if it is a corporate CDP and she gets into an accident, she just misrepresented herself from an insurance perspective.

Yes, if it is a corporate CDP she isn't entitled to use, it doesn't matter if she puts the CDP into her reservation or makes a reservation via his Gold profile -- both would be problematic if she had an accident.

Most CDP's aren't tied to insurance, however, so there should be some CDPs you can find that will give a good discount.
