Looking for a low cost hotel close to the Venice Italy Airport in order to catch a 6:25am flight Sept 25 any ideas? Any suggestings on how to best get from hotel to airport. how much time should I allow?

Looking for a low cost hotel close to the Venice Italy Airport in order to catch a 6:25am flight Sept 25 any ideas? Any suggestings on how to best get from hotel to airport. how much time should I allow?
The issue of transportation to the airport depends on whether or not you stay in Venice or in Mestre.
From Venice there are two excellent inexpensive options, both depart from Piazzale Roma
The ACTV bus - public bus #5 cost 1EU, starts at 4:40 am, stops on the way to the airport but will get you there at 5:05 am, you have to buy your tickets in advance (so the day before) (This is the schedule thru Sept. 18, the hours may shift slightly for the Fall schedule).
The ATVO bus (aka the blue bus, Linea 35), costs 3EU, is air conditioned and non stop, you can buy your tickets on board. The first bus leaves at 5:00, so you'll get to the airport at around 5:20 or so. If you don't have bags to check and have already printed your boarding pass, you should be OK on this one - just be sure that it is the bus to Marco Polo airport, not Treviso airport

No low cost hotels exist in Venice or anywhere in Italy for that matter after the Republicans have destroyed the value of the dollar.
