For those of you on the inside. I see the flight left ontime but landed almost three hours late. Why?

(why am I asking? I am taking this flight next week and have been checking wanting to see how long the flight time has been taking and if it has been leaving on time and I noticed this.)

Why?

I'm guessing weather/ATC delays into JFK; summer storms are fun and more are expected today. The plane doesn't carry a ton of extra fuel so odds are that they wouldn't have been able to circle for too long before diverting.

I believe there was a line of thunderstorms this morning that forced the flight to make a pit stop in ROC. It was that or heavy fog this morning. My guess, by the radar is that it was storms.
