Just got in the mail today that Amex is discontinuing the IN:NYC card as of November 2008. The card had a few cool features overall (double points at restaurants and a few other things) and a few good discounts, but overall the MR program had some limited options as it was different that the reg Amex MR program.
So the good thing about this seems to be that my IN:NYC points, many of them double points from restaurants, will become reg MR points come December. Int he mailer it said its going to replace my card with Blue From American Express, which I don't know how I feel about. I was thinking maybe seeing if they'd let me do the SPG card or something else.
So to some up this message, anyone have thoughts on them canning this card, and which personal credit card from Amex would be the best replacement? I already have:
Personal Amex Plat Charge Card
Biz Plum Card
Biz Plat Credit Card (used to be the biz mgmt card)
