Hertz - Able to park after pick up car keys at JFK?

Hi all

Next month I will arrive at JFK at 8am. My colleague will arrive elsewhere to JFK at 11am. I am intending to do all the paperwork at Hertz and get my car keys after touchdown, put my luggage inside the car, go to Terminal 4 to have my breakfast, received my colleague and get back to Hertz to drive out my rental car 3 hours later.

Is my plan possible, and is Hertz okay with me occupying the car park slot for 3 hours after picking up my keys?

You should speak with the station manager else they may think they somehow lost the keys and call a locksmith to open it.

They typically won't mind as long as they aren't swamped. I did that once at RIC. Needed to go back in a wait for an hour because someone else flight was late. Just tell someone of your plans to let them know.
