I have subscribed to "Mr. Upgrade/First Class Flyer" since January to get the "inside" scoop on getting less expensive, lower mileage upgrades and to upgraded more often. I am considering switching to "Front of the Plane.Com" (formerly 'Secrets of First Class Travel'). Two questions:

1) Do any of you have experience with either service? What are your impressions?
2) If I regularly read FlyerTalk amd WebFlyer (Randy P's service) and track my miles and airline sites fairly frequently is it worth the $39.99 to $69.99 annual fee that I would pay to either service (ie, do they really provide value add above and beyond what I could research myself if I have the time or inclination) ?

Thanks.

Please post a review of the service you have been subscribing too. Why do you want to look for another one?

I'm looking for an alternative for the following reasons:

1) The monthly newsletter, the heart of what a flyer subscribes to, is consistently late. The July article came out July 30th

2) The owner (it's a small 3-5 person shop is my guess) got his labtop and by association all the subscriber names and credit card numbers stolen in Paris

3) Response to my email and phone request for help getting a bus class upgrade for one trip took two weeks rendering the advice useless

4) The newsletter has some decent tips but much of the content I tend to find in other publications such as WEbFlyer and Chris Elliott & Joe Brancatelli publications. It's a little too oriented towards buying first class tickets outright vs. stealthy ways to get business class and first class upgrades.

I subscribed to Mr. Upgrade and thought it wasn't right for me. Got a refund pretty quick. I could not take advantage of all of their specials.

Welcome to Flyertalk Fly7Soar3.

While interesting, this has little to do with miles and points.

... and in a flash it appeared in Travel Buzz!!
