Thank You!

Midwest has always had the best service in my experiences with them. Hopefully they keep it up with all of their current troubles. I'll hold my judgement on Virgin America until they have been around a while. I think, like when we first started, they are a novelity that people are trying for their first time. Plus they are small, like us, and still have a ways to go, like us, but hopefully they continue with the good service

I haven't flown Midwest recently but I have been told that their service has degraded a touch. I guess they're still hanging tough, though.

Ironic that it is "Travel and Leisure" readers that bestowed the award on Midwest. This is exactly the market(leisure) that Midwest aimed for, in fact changed their model for, that among other things has put them in their current mess. They are now focusing on a retreat to their core which is where they started from, the business customer with a much smaller network/high freq. balance.

And yes, with their move into leisure I have heard as well that service suffered. Best of luck to the Midwest family with the redefinition that almost every airline is struggling to achieve.

You know that ranking is a crock of sh!t when you see WN on it  :D

Or, you know it's legit when there's not a single legacy (DL, CO, NW, US, UA, AA) in the top 10.

Elite members might have a different perspective of their favorite legacy airline, but as a non-elite, I'll take WN over most of them.

This ranking does seem a bit screwy though, Sun Country doesn't even rate a SeatGuru listing, and USA3000 shows a very tight pitch of 30 inches, so I am a bit doubtful about the criteria used.

The criteria, aside from value, are largely qualitative ones:
These were the categories and characteristics:

* For airlines: cabin comfort, food, in-flight service, customer service, value.Nothing about route network or destinations, convenience of schedule, frequent flier benefits, or partner/alliance opportunities.

It's also interesting to note the size of the carriers that won. VX has less than 20 a/c I believe, and YX is going to have about 20 when the 80s go away. Then look at our fleet size, just over a 100, yet comparatively smaller to the other majors.

Who is our?

My apologies. I am a flight attendant with B6. Should not assume everyone knows. Cheers!
