Budget Travel - Denver to Charlotte, NC 7/26-7/27 Help Needed

Im not sure If I am allowed to post this here but looking to head to Charlotte, NC on 7/26 and return the following day. Heading out to see my favioret band Widespread Panic.

As the sticky says, we're not a travel agency, but in light of the fact that so many FTers come here seeking help with low fares (and other threads are moved here from other FT fora), we have relaxed the rules and don't stricktly adhere to the sticky (though we've kept it so far so we're not overrun with fare requests).

That said, it's still up to the members if they want to help, and as you can see media310, you only received one post with a suggestion. Most FTers, and this includes Budget Travel readers, feel they want to see what kind of effort you put into your search before they will invest their (valuable) time into searching on behalf of someone else.

Good luck--this is an expensive pairing due to little competition. US is the only non-stop. I dropped $670 on a US one-way with 7 days advance back in April. IIRC Airtran connecting through ATL offered competitive pricing but the flight times were less convenient.

I would suggest looking at GSP or GSO as alternate airports. May be cheaper than flying into CLT.

What about DEN-RDU on WN? (That's Southwest to you, newbie. :p ) 2.5-hour drive to CLT, but if you know someone who has a WN award, maybe they'd do a trade.

Oh, and there's no award availability as of now on the outbound, but there are a couple of options for the return.
