Other Car Rental Programs/Partners (ie. Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt) - Too good to be true rate with Alamo

I just found a seven day rate at HNL for a convertible with Alamo for only $291 (all in) from 7/12-7/18. This is the second cheapest rate class they have available. How can this be? Should I be suspicious. This is nearly $100 less than the next best rate out there. How can a convertible be going for less than a compact, full-size and midsize?

I wouldn't be too suspicious. Just save all docs/printouts. Good luck.
BTW, I have gotten full size cars through priceline from Alamo and Hertz for even lower rates.

Traffic at hnl is down as ata and aloha are gone. Still $291 is just ok in my book - if it were $91 then I would call it a screaming deal. BTW, make sure you throw a coupon on there. Many $20ish weekly coupons exist.

If you thought it was a good deal, I hope you booked it. In the process of looking for a car for an upcoming trip, I've found the prices are fluctuating wildly and that prices for larger cars with lower mileage can be lower than smaller cars. In HNL this probably isn't as big a deal, since the ability to drive long distances is pretty limited

I've had many times where I was reserving a car and the cheapest one was a convertible. This was even cheaper than a compact. I don't like the idea of a convertible though so I never take it.

Don't many credit card insurance programs exclude convertables and 2 seaters?
