First post here, love the forums...
I'm heading from NYC to MCO late October for a 10 night trip to the Sunshine State. Last year, paid $108 R/T similar time frame for JetBlue. Now I see fares insanely high, best R/T starting at $250 for Delta...
I figure to pay between $200 and $250 R/T but seeing JetBlue hovering around $350 and with plenty of seats avaialble makes me think I should be patient...
What say you?

Keep watching. You might be able to find a deal to pop up from time to time. However, its anyone's guess here if or when it would happen.

Thanks... I mean, I expect prices to be higher but there is a limit I'll pay to fly to MCO, even though I am well aware that all the airlines have drastically cut flight numbers to FL.

I believe there is a 10% or 10$ off promotion.(It expires tonight if I remember) (I don't remember the code though).

They actually extended it to tomorrow. Details are in this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=841386).
To the OP, if you are going no matter what and have specific flights you want to travel on, book it now and you can get the difference back as a voucher if the fare drops. But if you don't know for certain the flights and are willing to be flexible there you won't benefit from this since a different flight time might end up cheaper and you wouldn't get the benefit. And welcome to FlyerTalk!!

That's an excellent point... As long as JetBlue maintains their policy of no fees for changing your fare to a lower avaialble fare it works for me...
If indeed it does go lower do I have to call JetBlue or can that be handled online (which I doubt...)

Welcome to FT!
I wouldn't say the fares are insanely high this year, but I would definitely say they were insanely low a year ago. As oil is now at ~$140 and capacity has decreased, don't expect anything but higher-priced fares. Also, keep in mind that airfares are actually LOWER than they were say 20 years ago when adjusted for inflation!
Try using the new best fare finder and searching from other airports.
