I had a strange thing happen in MIA. I made a reservation two months ago. Prepaid. My cc was charged at time of reservation. One week before renting I checked my reservation online. It stated total cost $0.00 :confused:
I called Hertz and they said I would be fine since it was prepaid and they confirmed the rate. When we arrivied at MIA airport the agent said there was no indication in the system that the reservation was prepaid. Also the cartype we reserved was not available. So we got stuck with a smaller car and had to pay the (higher) rate at the counter. After a long flight from Europe I was not in the mood to argue.
Next day I called Hertz back home and they said they could see the prepaid rate.
So what kind of system do they use that a counterrep cannot see the prepaid rate? Or am I being ripped off?
